Blueberry/Bilberry

What is the difference between blueberry and bilberry?
Both names refer to the same berry. Depending on the region, they are called bilberry or blueberry. These berries are incredibly healthy, and compared to other fruits, blueberries have by far the highest antioxidant potential. Raspberries and strawberries, for example, which also contain very high levels of antioxidants, have only about half the radical scavenger potential of blueberries. In addition, the secondary plant substances (polyphenols) not only reduce the formation of new fat cells but also inhibit inflammatory processes in the body. This is why blueberries are now considered a domestic superfood.
